The UBVHS was established in 1992 to preserve the history of the Upper Blackfoot Valley. Since its founding, the UBVHS has relocated and restored several historic buildings, founding a museum on leased property west of Lincoln. In 1994 they published "Goldpans and Singletrees," an account of Lincoln's history with locally sourced documentation, anecdotes, and photos that remains popular today.
